Social Sport has changed in 2026

With the changes in the University’s academic calendar, we will now be running a Semester 1, Semester 2 and Winter competition. Winter competitions will run for 8 weeks, with 7 rounds plus 1 round of finals. This shortened competition will be fast and exciting, bridging the gap between our Semester 1 and Semester 2 seasons.

With winter quickly approaching, we are excited to announce that we are running a NEW Super League Basketball competition!

About Super League Basketball

This new league offers a higher standard of competition to those who are seeking a challenge and want to make new friends who are just as passionate about the sport they love. Included in your individual registration will be a “Draft Night” held on Wednesday 20 May 2026 at Bar on the Hill where the teams will be drafted, player by player. This will go hand in hand with our MVP awards night at the end of the competition, which will have multiple awards and follow our grand final as a great way to wrap up the competition. The competition also includes uniquely designed team uniforms that you get to keep, fast paced games with the addition of a 24-second shot clock, higher-level officiating and two rounds of Finals. This is a competition you do not want to miss!

With invitations to the Draft and Awards nights, individual uniforms and other inclusions, the registration cost is higher than our standard social sport competitions. However, we assure you that the experience of being a part of this inaugural competition will be worth every cent.

Semester 2 Social Sport Competitions

Semester 2 season will have 14 round games, plus finals (1v2, 3v4, 5v6, 7v8) — that’s a total of 15 games! If you don’t happen to get involved in our Winter competitions, make sure you start looking to secure your spot for Semester 2 season later in the year.
