WELCOME TO SOCIAL
SPORT AT NUsport
Social sport competitions are offered three times per year (semester 1, winter and semester 2) during each season competitions are run 5 nights of the week for students, staff, and members of the community. Register your team or if you do not have a team, register as an individual and we will try our best to match you with a team. Social sport is a brilliant way to regularly catch up with your friends or meet new ones.
SOCIAL SPORT IS CHANGING IN 2026
Due to the changes in the University’s academic calendar, we will now be running a Semester 1, Semester 2 and Winter competition. During the winter period, we will also be running a Basketball Super League competition. Please keep an eye out for details.
We’ve also increased the number of games across Semester 1 and 2. There will now be 14 round games, plus finals (1v2, 3v4, 5v6, 7v8) that’s a total of 15 games each season.
