SPORT AT NUsport
Social sport competitions are offered three times per year (semester 1, winter and semester 2) during each season competitions are run 5 nights of the week for students, staff, and members of the community. Register your team or if you do not have a team, register as an individual and we will try our best to match you with a team. Social sport is a brilliant way to regularly catch up with your friends or meet new ones.

Get your friends together to register your team or if you do not have a team, register as an individual and we will try our best to place you in a team. Social sport is a brilliant way to regularly catch up with your friends or meet new ones!
Social Sport has changed in 2026
With the changes in the University’s academic calendar, we will now be running a Semester 1, Semester 2 and Winter competition. Winter competitions will run for 8 weeks, with 7 rounds plus 1 round of finals. This shortened competition will be fast and exciting, bridging the gap between our Semester 1 and Semester 2 seasons.
Semester 2 Social Sport - Competitions are growing!
Introducing the SEAHORSE CUP! A new award being added to our competitions, presented to the best overall team across all 11 competitions over the course of the season. This new trophy will be engraved with the winning teams name each season, providing all teams the chance to leave their mark and creating connection across competitions!
Semester 2 season will have 14 round games, plus finals (1v2, 3v4, 5v6, 7v8) — that’s a total of 15 games!
NUsport is looking to grow our competitions in Semester 2. This includes the return of both our mixed Volleyball and Futsal competitions! Futsal will be expanding to our brand-new outdoor acrylic futsal pitch, which will be played under lights every week!
